Deionized Water Dosing in R&D Lab

Problem:

As it is a system with 8 units, the deionized water requirement can range from one unit at a time to all 8 simultaneously. The pump pulse was damaging the flow sensors, and the pressurized line was disrupting the solenoid valve cycle. When the water requirement was low or from only one unit, the pump tended to shut down.

Solution:

A Blacoh system was installed to eliminate pulsations and prevent damage to the flow sensors. A solenoid valve was placed at the air inlet and a pressure switch at the pump discharge to use the pulse suppressor as a small hydropneumatic tank.

Result:

Laminar flow is optimally detected by the flow meters without damaging them, the opening cycles of the solenoid valves are not altered, and a regulated pressure is maintained in the line without affecting the pump cycle. This is because the suppressor supplies power to the machines, not the pump.
